View from Port Maria...
On my way in from Ochi this morning, I stopped in Port Maria to check on the Ignota's home, which she purchased when she was only 26 (or so oral hisroty has it)....all a part of our beautiful story...there is someone called fire 'taking care' of it now, and the view is still spectacular! It's truly a treasure....i'm sure there are many lifetimes of stories here and I'd love to hear some....leave your account of this piece of history which lives on today....
I took the opportunity to take a closer look....

The Spanish Jar
It's exciting when the family gets together to delve into our rich and textured history!
The Spanish Jar originated from Ignota's dream of a promise fulfilled. Her father Cecil promised her that he hid a Spanish Jar just for her to find.
I believe that this Spanish Jar may be the knowledge of our wonderful past, and the hope and promise of generations to come.
This blog is in honour of our dear daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, warrior woman Ignota, who has allowed this dream to live on...
